Welcome...

"Life is too short, yet so precious .... sometimes people come into your life and you know right away that they were meant to be there, to serve some sort of purpose, teach you a lesson ...."

What are you looking for in a doctor?

Why are you looking for a doctor?

This is important, so please take a moment and write down or decide what is important for your relationship with your doctor.

You may or may not know that ultimately a doctor is a teacher. We certainly multi-task, but at the core of what we do or are supposed to do is to teach you.

Pain is definitely a motivating factor and what forces many people into a decision to see a doctor.

Pain, or the absense of, is not what health is about. Of course, getting you out of pain is at the top of the list when you come in, but health is not the mere absense of symptoms.

What is the cause of your pain? Let's find out! But be careful, you might learn something in the process.

The Triad of Health is physical, nutritional and emotional.
Your health is determined by these three factors.

The challenge is which one or which combination is the problem.

It's very difficult to determine based upon symptoms, unless you have a direct trauma like an auto accident. Even so, who cares?

Here's one example where it made a big difference.

Several years ago, a gentleman came in with low back pain. He informed me that he had the pain for at least 15 years and that he usually gets adjusted 10 to 15 times a year when the pain flares up. Well this is certainly good for business, but what if he can get better. I reasonably assumed that he had good "physical" care with his previous chiropractors, so I examined his low back and then looked to find if there was something else causing or contributing to his low back pain. Sure enough when I pushed into his stomach, he gave a good whelp. This can lead to several problems, but upon asking him more questions, he informed me that he had stomach problems for years. He had digestion problems. His treatments consisted of modifying this diet and supplementation in addition to the physical adjustments. When he was seen the next month, his stomach tenderness was greatly reduced and so was his low back pain. His digestion is now good, and he only needs to be physically adjusted two or three times a year? Why? His problems was primary nutritional and secondary physical.

So what happens if you do the wrong treatment like physical treatment to a nutritional problem and physical problem?

You don't get better!

So what do you need?

Let's find out!

Practice Message:

So how do you know if you have the right doctor?

Is it love at first sight?

Ultimately your relationship with your doctor is going to be about how well you connect. Not every doctor is right for every patient nor is every patient right for every doctor. I'v experienced from both sides.

What can make it successful, is to be clear with your doctor and make sure that you tell him absolutely everything you can think of about your health. And likewise your doctor must have the desire and understanding and knowledge to be able to connect what you tell him with your needs and goals.

But still how do you know?

In my experience, even with a referral, which is great, there is no way to know until you are able to meet and get to know the doctor, his office and his staff.

This is why we offer a no obligation, 15 minute consultation with Dr. Olsen! When you call our office to schedule your first appointment, mention that you would like to receive a complimentary consultation with Dr. Olsen to find out if he is the right doctor for you.

Check us out and find out what we can do for you.
